City-Sponsored Home Energy and Water Savings

The City of Benicia has contracted with Ennovationz to provide a one-year City-subsidized pilot program for energy savings plans for 250 Benicia homes. This program is free to all residents of Benicia. The City of Benicia is able to offer this program from funds provided by Valero through the Good Neighbor Steering Committee.

The home energy and water savings assessments will supply residents with a customized in-home energy and water analysis, a report that prioritizes the most cost-effective upgrades, some free instant upgrades, and an outline of larger energy-saving purchases and home improvements. The goal of the program is to reduce carbon emissions from homes by reducing energy consumption. A reduction of energy consumption will result in lowering utility bills, which is a win-win for both the City and residents. Ennovationz is NOT authorized to sell any service or products during or after the Energy & Water assessment. The only obligation of the program is that residents provide Ennovationz with utility bills twice after the initial visit is complete, to help us track program results.

Who is Eligible?

All residents of the City of Benicia are eligible to participate in this program. To start, please sign up. After signing up, Ennovationz will contact you with further instructions. In order to participate, Ennovationz must have a year of past utility and water bills in order to perform the assessment.

Partnership with Benicia High School

Ennovationz is training Benicia High School’s SAGE students to provide the water assessment portion of this service, giving students a unique green workforce development opportunity. The students are creating a water assessment business and Ennovationz is proud to be providing the training and mentorship for this business.
