The Home Energy and Water Savings Assessment is free to most participants, and includes:

• Utility bill analysis to show how the home’s energy and water use compare to similar homes
• 2-3 hour visit to the home by an Ennovationz Home Energy Consultant and a trained and certified Benicia High School student. During the visit, the team will use in-home energy monitor, inventory energy- and water-using devices, visually inspect insulation and heating and cooling equipment, and interview residents on energy and water use
• Action plan which outlines habit changes and cost-effective fixes to reduce energy and water use

Homes selected to will receive Home Energy and Water Savings Assessments will be provided by Ennovationz Home Energy Consultants and participants in the Benicia High School program at no cost to residents, with the exception of homes over 5,000 square feet. For homes over 5,000 square feet, residents will be responsible for the additional $200 fee associated with assessments for large residences, payable by check on the day of the home assessment.

In addition, all participating residents will receive a $75 per household credit for same-day Ennovationz direct installation of fixes such as efficient light bulbs, showerheads, timers, and power strips. These items implement part or all of the action plan and result in immediate savings.
